Watch: Protesters Shoot Fireworks At DA's Home And Burn American Flag: "This Is Out Street Motherf*cker"
Another day another protest... This time BLM protesters targeted the home of District Attorney Amy Weirich on Saturday. Protesters shot fireworks over the DA's East Memphis Tennessee home and burned a United State flag on her front lawn. The 4th of July nightmare was originally posted on Facebook via a live stream but has since been removed.
Reports say that protesters drove to the DA's neighborhood in a massive 25-car caravan. There they shouted and chanted down Mrs. Weirich's home demanding that she be fired. They want people who have not been convicted of crimes to be released from detention due to COVID-19 risks and see Weirich as an obstacle to that cause.
According to Commercial Appeal, someone played “F—- the police” from car speakers. Protesters then set off about 10 small firecrackers outside the house, while chanting “Ain’t no power like the power of the people, cause the power of the people don’t stop” and cheering.
An American flag was on fire shortly before Memphis police officers arrived and protesters dispersed. Weirich did not come outside her East Memphis home during the brief protest.
One protester, Amber Sherman, was pulled over for a traffic stop as protesters were leaving.
"First off, you were parked too close to the fire hydrant, then you moved and broke some other laws...improper display, your license plate is covered," the officer said.
A review of Sherman's citation shows officers found her in violation of state registration and the improper display of a license plate. She was not cited for being parked near the fire hydrant. She insists that she was pulled over for being black, not because she broke an array of laws she broke.
The below video is a trimmed down version of the hours-long live stream but in it you will see protesters burning the American flag. You will also see protesters firing fireworks at the DA's home, some barely missing her roof,.
Memphians who are fed up with District Attorney Amy Weirich’s extreme level of misconduct and prosecutorial record came to let her know how they feel.

Protesters have taken to residential areas over the last few weeks, targetting high profile homes of mayors and other officials. They've caused considerable damages not to mention the stress they've inflected on unsuspecting residents.
