Watch: Rep Jordan Laughs As Rep Perlmutter Tried To Bully Him During Heated Exchange
As House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer waited to hear from vice president Pence on if he would involve the 25th Amendment to throw Trump out of office, tensions outside flared. Early in the hearing, Democratic Rep. Ed Perlmutter attempted to get under Rep. Jim Jordan's asking by demanding he publicly admitting that former vice president Joe Biden won the election.
The reason it was so obviously a slight is that Perlmutter didn't accept the multiple time Jordan said that Biden would take office and kept repeating the question. Jordan kept composure as the Democrat had a pointless meltdown. Made pointless, because again, for the sake of the nation Jordan had already agreed with him several times.
It was made clear in the video that Perlmutter was just making talking points and trying to bully Jordan. Jordan was clearly irritated but it was Perlmutter who continually lost his way during the argument.
"I would just say, sort of from one lawyer to another, Mr. Jordan, in a cross-examine sort of way, isn't it true that Joe Biden won the election?" Perlmutter pressed.
"Yes, he's going to be president, and I've never said, as the chairman indicated earlier, I've never said that this election was stolen," Jordan replied. "What I've said very clearly is half the electorate — half the electorate, both Republicans and Democrats, have concerns."
Perlmutter interjected, yelling out, "Jim! Mr. Jordan!" until the Ohio Republican stopped.
"It was a simple question," Perlmutter said. "Isn’t it true Joe Biden won the election, yes or no?"
"Yes, he won. How many times do I have to say it?" Jordan responded. "Yes, he won, but there are serious problems with this election that deserve an investigation, and that's what I've called for. And it's not just Republicans who think that. Countless number of Democrats think that this thing had problems too. We called for an investigation and you guys didn’t want to do it. No investigation."
"Mr. Jordan," Perlmutter interrupted.
"Well, you asked me a question, I got to give an answer," Jordan said.
"I asked you a yes or no question. Please, we’re trying to bring this nation back together. Jim, jeez!"
Perlmutter said he does not like the House resolution calling for Pence and the cabinet to use the 25th Amendment, but he said he supports it because of the "injury" that the nation has suffered. Right now, he said, he wants a leader like Jordan to say Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris won the election and will be taking office.
"You know who said that? The president of the United States has said that," Jordan responded.
Once Perlmutter had finished his senseless rant the two did agree to continue to work together for the betterment of the country.
Vice president Mike Pence later rejected Pelosi's call to invoke the 25th Amendment, choosing to put America and the American people before the pressures of deranged democrats. Since Pence is the only one who can invoke such a thing this leaves Pelosi with no other option but to continue on with what's bound to be another failed attempt to impeach Trump.
I mean, she could just sit down for the next few days but we all know that's not an option for the obsessed Democrat. This is Pelosi, after all. She and other Democrats are out to block a Trump run in 2024.
The President announced he would run again in 2024 shortly after the electoral college declared vice president Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 elections. Given the strength of the President's base, Democrats know they might not be able to compete against him again.
