Watch: Ruhle Demands Doctors Kill Babies Born Alive After Botched Abortion
The GOP-controlled House of Representatives passed two bills that protect the lives of babies born in botched abortions. But MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle was outraged.
“Tonight we are getting a much clearer picture of how Republicans are planning to lead the House in the 118th Congress,” Ruhle said with obvious disdain on her Wednesday night program. “The GOP may have won control by campaigning on kitchen table issues like inflation and crime, but tonight, they used the power of their majority to pass two abortion related bills.”
Ruhle then went on to criticize the born alive legislation, saying, “It punishes doctors for denying care to babies who survive an abortion attempt.”
“No House Republicans voted against either of these bills,” she added, clearly disgusted by this.
Ruhle then aired comments from House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, which she called “deeply misleading”:
"The babies born alive outside the womb in some states, they actually are allowing that baby to be killed and calling it abortion, it's murder and yet it's legal in some states."
When Ruhle returned to the topic, she angrily dismissed Scalise’s remarks: “Nope! For fact's sake that is not true,” she said. “There is no state that allows any doctor to kill a newborn baby. What you just heard is a lie used to promote laws that curb abortion.”
Unfortunately for Ruhle, the facts tell a different story. According to Life News, between 2020 and 2022, thirty-four babies were born alive and left to die from botched abortions in just seven states. And in New York, the situation is even worse. Barbarically, babies born alive from botched abortions in New York are allowed to die.
It’s no wonder why Ruhle is so outraged by the House’s actions. It’s clear that Ruhle and the Democrats are more concerned with defending the right to abortion than they are with protecting the most innocent among us.
This kind of culture of death should not be tolerated. The House of Representatives has taken a stand against these atrocities, and it’s time for the rest of us to do the same. We must stand up for the rights of the unborn and put an end to this culture of death.
