White House Tries To Pass The Buck On School Closures, Blames Trump And The GOP
It's like we have all been transported into the Twilight zone. "Do not attempt to adjust your screen." Democrats have made claims recently that are just too preposterous to ignore, like how they're the 'law and order party' but this one is a huge leap. The White House now blames Republicans for the pandemic lockdowns and school closures.
It all began when a reporter questioned about a study that showed students have called horribly behind in their core education subjects, like math.
When asked if the administration shoulders any blame for not pushing schools to reopen sooner, White House Press Sec Jean-Pierre said:
“Let’s step back to where we were not too long ago when this president walked into this administration, how mismanaged the response to the pandemic was.”
She then said schools went from “46 percent open to nearly all of them being open full time” in less than six months.
“That was the work of this president and that was the work of Democrats in spite of Republicans not voting for the American Rescue Plan which $130 billion went to school to have the ventilation to be able to have the tutoring and the teachers and be able to hire more teachers and that was because of the work this administration did,” she added.
The press secretary said when Biden took office “schools were not open, the economy was shut down, businesses were shut down,” but failed to mention that is because of the president’s own party.
“It shows you how mismanaged the pandemic was and how the impact of that mismanagement had on the kids’ progress and academic well being,” she said, adding that “every Republican in Congress” voted against the American Rescue Plan and the administration had to “do this on our own.”

Let's take a moment and reflect on the early days of this awful pandemic when Democrats literally screamed that Trump and the GOP were getting people killed by 'forcing' schools to reopen. The GOP and Trump both expressed concerns that the students would fall far behind the rest of the world and according to those new studies, they were right.

So, what's next for the false claim party? They already claim to be the party against slavery and racism after it was the Republicans who ended slavery and the Democrats who enforced Jim Crow laws. Nowadays it's become a policy of theirs to separate themselves from their failed policies while adopting the policies of conservatives that actually work.
