KJP Asked About Biden Claims
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre became irritated on Wednesday during a White House press briefing when a reporter pressed her on whether President Joe Biden had lied to the public about his son’s foreign business dealings.
The question came after House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) announced on Tuesday that Republicans would move forward with launching an impeachment inquiry into the president over accusations of a culture of corruption surrounding the Biden family.
“How confident are you that there will be no evidence that incriminates President Biden in Hunter’s business dealings as this goes forward?” a reporter asked.
In response, Jean-Pierre reminded the reporters that “House Republicans have spent all year investigating the president” and “have turned up with no evidence that he did anything wrong.”
However, a different reporter asked directly if it was wrong for the president to lie to the public. Jean-Pierre quickly became frustrated and snapped at the reporter, claiming that it was “incredibly inappropriate” to ask the question.

When asked to provide a response to the claim that President Biden had interacted with a number of his son’s foreign business associates and that more than half of voters told CNN that they believed the president had lied, Jean-Pierre did not answer the question and instead left the press conference.
This press conference comes at a challenging time for the Biden Administration as it faces mounting pressure from Congressional Republicans and the public over its handling of the Hunter Biden scandal. With more revelations about foreign business dealings likely to come out of the ongoing federal investigations, the White House will need to be ready to face these queries.
Until the investigations into the scandal are completed, however, it is likely that the White House will continue to be asked these questions, and that President Biden will have to address the public accusations. In the meantime, the White House must prepare for the possibility of more bombshell revelations and how they may impact the Biden Administration.
"Can you explain why the president interacted with so many of his son's foreign business associates!? More than half of voters told CNN they believe the president was involved and he lied! You can't have a response to that, Karine?"
