CNN Hosts Clooney Production
Los Angeles is on fire—literally and politically—as riots continue to erupt over the Trump administration’s renewed push to enforce immigration law. Over the weekend, left-wing demonstrators—many waving Mexican flags—clashed with federal officers, set cars ablaze, and laid siege to a federal detention center. And while the chaos grew by the hour, President Donald Trump took decisive action, deploying the National Guard on Saturday night to help restore order.
But instead of rallying behind law enforcement and calling for peace, Democratic leaders in California have chosen sides—and not the law-abiding one. Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass offered no support to federal authorities and no condemnation of the violence. In fact, the LAPD issued a stunningly tone-deaf statement calling the situation “peaceful” and claiming there had been “no incidents.” No incidents? Tell that to the ICE agents hospitalized by bricks and Molotov cocktails.

Meanwhile, over at CNN—the same network that made “fiery but mostly peaceful” a national punchline in 2020—anchors delivered a sequel performance, labeling the mayhem “lawful” and referring to it as “unrest,” as if burning vehicles and blocking ambulances is just a spirited town hall.
Juliette Kayyem, lauded by CNN’s Brian Stelter as “the best in the business,” blasted Trump’s use of the National Guard as “unprecedented” for bypassing the governor’s consent. But this claim ignores history. Presidents have repeatedly deployed federal forces without state approval when public safety demanded it—during desegregation in Little Rock, during the D.C. riots, and yes, even during modern immigration emergencies. Kayyem’s hypocrisy becomes even more glaring when you recall her reaction to Canadian truckers protesting COVID mandates: she wanted tires slashed and arrests en masse.

And then there’s CNN’s so-called “extremism reporter” Donie O’Sullivan. With America’s cities facing wave after wave of far-left violence—from embassy stabbings to antisemitic arson—you’d think he’d be busy. Instead, he’s off chasing Mike Lindell for snarky soundbites and cozying up with Taylor Lorenz to giggle over topics no professional journalist should laugh at.
While Jewish communities face real, violent hate and immigration officers are targeted on U.S. soil, CNN’s coverage reads like satire. This isn’t journalism—it’s propaganda dressed in a press badge. They don’t just downplay violence; they enable it through mischaracterization and political loyalty.
