Fetterman Better Start Looking For A Job, GOP Is Out For Blood!
It's time for Pennsylvanians to say 'enough is enough!' to Senator John Fetterman, who has been hospitalized for clinical depression for the past two weeks. The Washington County, PA Republican Party recently called on Fetterman to appear on camera and provide proof that he is still capable of doing his job, and if not, to resign from office.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Fetterman has been the subject of questions about his ability to serve in the Senate. Last May, he suffered a stroke and since then, there have been persistent concerns about his capacity for the role. Fetterman has repeatedly insisted that he is capable of carrying out his duties, but until he can prove it to the people of Pennsylvania, we must demand that he step aside and allow someone else to serve.
The Washington County, PA Republican Party was right to call for Fetterman to either show himself on camera or else resign. It's not enough for us to take Fetterman's word that he is well enough to serve, and if he is unable to demonstrate that he is up to the job, then it's time for him to move on.
This is yet another example of the difference between Democrats and Republicans. While the Democrats are content to turn a blind eye to potential problems with their elected officials, the Republicans are willing to take a stand and demand accountability. The Washington County, PA Republican Party put it best in their Facebook post: "Ultimately, if Fetterman is unable or unwilling to carry out his duties as a United States Senator, then we ask for his resignation and call for a special election to be held this year."
It's time for Fetterman to do what is right and step aside. Pennsylvanians deserve a Senator who is healthy and capable of representing their best interests, and Fetterman needs to prove that he is the right person for the job. Anything less is unacceptable. Democrats should be ashamed for their lack of accountability and for allowing Fetterman to remain in office despite his continued health issues.
The Republican Party is the only party that is truly looking out for the best interests of Pennsylvanians. We must continue to hold our elected officials accountable and make sure they are up to the task of serving in office. We must also demand that Fetterman either appear on camera or else resign, so that we can have the representation we deserve.
