Heroic Store Clerk Takes Matters into His Own Hands And Stops Dangerous Criminal in His Tracks
A store clerk who shot a robbery suspect eight times, putting an end to a wild police chase from Florida to Georgia.
According to reports, a store clerk putting an end to a wild police chase from Florida to Georgia. the incident started when a man walked into a convenience store in Jacksonville, Florida, and attempted to rob the store at gunpoint. However, the store clerk, who was armed, was having none of it. He pulled out his own weapon and shot the suspect multiple times.
The suspect then fled the scene in a stolen car, which led police on a high-speed chase that crossed state lines into Georgia. The chase finally came to an end in Glynn County, Georgia, when the suspect crashed the stolen car and attempted to flee on foot. However, he was quickly apprehended by police and taken to the hospital in critical condition.
It has been reported that the suspect is a known criminal with a lengthy rap sheet. He had been released from jail just two days before the incident occurred. He was also driving a stolen vehicle at the time of the attempted robbery and subsequent police chase.
The store clerk, who has not been identified, is being hailed as a hero for his actions. He was simply doing his job and protecting his place of work from a dangerous criminal. He acted quickly and decisively, preventing the suspect from causing any further harm to anyone else.
Flagler county Sheriff Rick Staly had this to say about the incident:
“I commend our Real Time Crime Center team for quickly developing suspect information and his vehicle and thank all the agencies that assisted in apprehending this armed and dangerous fugitive. I also commend the Georgia store clerk that put a swift end to this dirtbag's crime spree. If he survives his injuries, he should spend a long time in prison.”
