Jennings Discusses Kimmel's Return To TV
Scott Jennings cut right through the noise when he called out ABC for what it really did by reinstating Jimmy Kimmel. The network dressed it up in polished corporate language, but the truth is plain: this was never about free speech, never about courage, never about “having thoughtful conversations.” It was about money, ratings, and protecting a narrative. Period.
So basically his employer suspended him for being an insensitive prick, and we don’t live in an authoritarian regime? Got it. https://t.co/Z4j98MhbR6

ABC’s statement was almost comical in its self-importance: suspending production, they claimed, was about avoiding “further inflaming a tense situation” during an “emotional moment.” Then, after supposedly sitting down with Kimmel for a few days of “thoughtful conversations,” they decided to put him back on the air. That’s not crisis management; that’s playacting. And badly at that.
But I thought this was “the death of free speech!”

The real story here is how the media turned a middling late-night host into a martyr for free speech, elevating him at the exact moment they should have been grappling with the assassination of Charlie Kirk — a man who actually risked everything to defend open debate. Instead, the legacy press staged a fake free speech drama with Jimmy Kimmel at center stage, while trying to bury the story of a conservative leader murdered at a college debate. That’s not just cynical. That’s wicked.
A lot of gymnastics for nothing.
The ONLY reason why Kimmel actually matters is due to it being an off-ramp for anything about Charlie.
They are DESPERATE to chill that conversation as much as possible. No aspect of it is palpable to the vast majority of the American people.

And here’s the kicker: the plan isn’t even working. Kimmel’s show, already hemorrhaging viewers, remains a money pit. Democrat-aligned media outlets may be cheering his “return,” but the victory is hollow. Kimmel will still be blacked out on 38 ABC affiliates owned by Sinclair Broadcasting — a serious chunk of the audience. So even as ABC sets piles of cash on fire to keep him on the air, he’s not actually back in full force.
This one isn’t funny.
I don’t care that he’s going back on air, that’s up to Disney and ABC. I care that they compared his one week vacation with Charlie Kirk, saying they were both silenced.
This one needs to be remembered forever

Meanwhile, the public isn’t buying it. Comment sections are flooded with ridicule for this staged spectacle, with people pointing out the obvious: a low-rated comedian propped up as a hero while a genuine free speech champion lies dead.
