Lauren Boebert Denies Ethics Complaint Over Staffer Allegations
A sworn ethics complaint landed with the House Committee on Ethics on September 17. David B. Wheeler, who heads American Muckrakers, signed the filing under penalty of perjury. The document accuses Rep. Three individuals supervised by Lauren Boebert were allegedly involved in sexual relationships with her.
The complaint names Clarice Navarro Ratzlaff, a former district director, Raven Finegan, a current chief of staff, and Jeffrey Small, a former chief of staff. Wheeler claims these relationships happened in district offices, vehicles, and hotel rooms paid for by Boebert's campaign. The filing also alleges a roughly $200,000 payment went to Navarro Ratzlaff in March 2025. Wheeler says the source of these funds is unknown.
I am requesting that anyone with video of me in this alleged “threesome” release said evidence IMMEDIATELY!
Unedited, please. https://t.co/2PRp3BZFGZ

Boebert did not stay silent. She fired back at the claims with a direct denial to Sources Say News. She stated clearly that she is neither a lesbian nor bisexual, has never engaged in any improper relationship, and has never had sexual contact with any staff member.
She also addressed wilder rumors linking her to former Rep. Matt Gaetz and his wife. "Creative, I'll give him that!" she said of the alleged threesome story. The House Ethics Committee has not yet announced an open investigation. The complaint itself is not a finding of guilt, but the allegations are serious.
Former Rep. Matt Gaetz responded to the rumors on social media with a sharp joke. His post drew laughter from online observers who saw the absurdity of the claim.

Boebert's ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, also weighed in on the matter. He called the entire situation "a fairy tale made up propaganda." Navarro Ratzlaff herself denied the claims as well, calling them "entirely false, defamatory, and beyond ridiculous" according to the Daily Wire.
The House rule at the center of this was adopted in 2018. It prohibits members from engaging in sexual relationships with employees under their supervision. This regulation was established following a series of Capitol Hill harassment scandals. The Ethics Committee cited this same rule in a 2019 investigation of then-Rep. Katie Hill.
Atp someone calls Lauren a ho every election cycle. It has to be exhausting. I guess when all else fails 🤷🏾♀️

Wheeler claims his sources have text messages and bank records to back his story. Yet the notes from unnamed sources were not made public in the filing. The committee has not said if they will open a formal probe. The allegations remain just that: claims filed by a critic with a long history of targeting Boebert.
