Meet The Latest Criminals Arrested by ICE
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents continue to arrest illegal aliens with serious criminal convictions, with a new group of arrests involving offenses ranging from murder and armed robbery to child cruelty and domestic violence.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said the arrests are part of the Trump administration’s effort to remove illegal aliens from the United States, particularly those with criminal records.
“Every day, the men and women of ICE are working to arrest and remove illegal aliens from our country,” Mullin said.
“Illegal aliens are not welcome in our nation. Under President Trump’s leadership, we will always put the safety of the American people first. Arresting and deporting illegal aliens saves lives.”

Among those taken into custody was Ruben Gomez-Vargas, a Mexican national who had previously been convicted of second-degree murder and carrying a loaded firearm in California.
ICE also arrested Eduardo Rivera-Talavera of Mexico, whose criminal record includes a lengthy series of convictions.
Rivera-Talavera was previously convicted of willful cruelty to a child, armed robbery, battery, corporal injury to a spouse, drunk driving causing injury, making harassing calls to 911, and possessing alcohol as a minor. He was also convicted in California of manufacturing, selling, or possessing brass knuckles.
Another arrest involved Lydia Nartin Mike of the Federated States of Micronesia. According to the information released about the enforcement actions, Mike had previously been convicted in Missouri of domestic violence, robbery, domestic assault, and shoplifting.
ICE agents also apprehended Sergio Medina, a Mexican national with previous convictions for larceny and burglary in Texas.
Antonio Cortez-Sanchez of Mexico was another individual arrested during the enforcement actions. He had previously been convicted in Texas of manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance.
The arrests put the administration’s immigration enforcement policy into concrete terms: ICE agents are identifying and taking into custody foreign nationals whose records include violent crimes, property crimes, drug offenses, and domestic abuse.
