Ohio Moms Take On Biden And His Mob Of Do-Nothings
The East Palestine train disaster of February 3rd has left the small rural town in Ohio devastated. Over 1 million pounds of toxic vinyl chloride were spilled, which later burned, releasing thick black smoke and contaminating the soil and water sources. The locals are terrified for their safety and health, and they are left wondering why President Biden chose to go to Ukraine instead of helping them.
The majority of the county voted for Donald Trump in 2020, and now, it seems they are paying the price for their political beliefs. Many locals believe that the administration has neglected them, and they are angry about it.
Lindsay Johnston, a local mother, expressed her frustration in an interview with NYP. She said that officials have been telling residents that it is safe to return home since five days after the derailment. However, she does not trust the data as it was paid for by Norfolk Southern Railway Company, the company responsible for the disaster.
Johnston fears that her family won't be able to live in or sell their new home due to contamination. She is frustrated because she doesn't even know how to properly clean her house to avoid exposing herself and her children further.
Shelby Walker, another mother living right across from where the mile-long train derailed, is feeling especially vulnerable with five children and four grandchildren living with her and Paul at their small wood frame house. Workers bulldozed trees near her home, then moved two tankers labeled hazardous close enough that they were pointing directly at them! Walker reports experiencing respiratory issues such as breathlessness while smelling a bad odor on occasion; other members of her family have had eye infections & strep throats as well.
Sadly, due to financial constraints, Shelby Walker says she can't leave yet. Making matters worse, workers at the crash site wouldn't even speak when asked about what was going on - an eerie feeling indeed!
The Biden administration's response has been criticized heavily among locals who just want some real help & information, and many questions still remain unanswered.
It is clear that Democrats cannot be trusted by rural communities like East Palestine, where everyone helps each other out. The government representatives should have done something similar, but they did not. The long-term dangerous impact of the trainwreck will be felt for years to come. The toxic chemicals have contaminated the soil and water sources, putting the locals' health and safety at risk.
The Biden administration's poor response to the disaster in Ohio has left the rural community feeling neglected and angry.
Personally, I wonder if the administration's neglect isn't because the area voted for Trump as a majority.
The locals just want some real help and information to keep themselves and their families safe. It is time for the government to step up and take responsibility for the disaster they caused. The long-term impact of the trainwreck is severe, and it is essential that immediate action is taken to mitigate the damage.
