People Are Now Fleeing States Over New Laws
As conservative states pass more laws that support freedom and security, the quality of life improves for those in the state. But the bonus effect is that blue states are seeing an exodus of those individuals disaffected by the stricter mores of conservative states and those seeking to flee areas that offer protection to those with agendas not in line with the majority of local citizens. For example, Floridians have long seen a steady influx of people from the north who are desperately seeking sunshine and warmth.
But what is happening in Florida is a secondary benefit that is proving to be just as important. As the state continues to pass conservative laws that protect children and limit the ability to receive and misuse Medicaid money for sex change body modifications, a sudden and unexpected exodus is taking place. This isn't necessarily an influx of conservatives. Instead, this is coming from those people who view the new rules as an affront to their shared ideology. That freedom to 'express oneself' and enact their individual 'preferences' doesn't meet the standards set forth by the state legislature and Governor.
One parent shared in a GoFundMe plea that their family was leaving the state due to the prohibitive laws. The family, a group of transgender individuals, was seeking funds to pay for relocation and travel expenses. The anonymous poster went on to add that the fear of the increased restrictions placed on the ability to 'express gender identities', specifically the ban on 'public restrooms' and the potential for 'state seizure of children' was their breaking point.
While this is heart-wrenching and seen as a 'horror' in our more liberal areas, in conservative strongholds it is often seen as protecting the normalcy of children, keeping them safe from grooming and maltreatment, and preventing their exposure to alternative gender public spaces. It also puts a stop to the unscrupulous nature of teachers and educators who may be attempting to indoctrinate young minds into a faux belief system that gender is changeable and can be determined by personal 'preference.'
The same can be said for Texas. According to a New York Magazine piece, 'liberal' citizens are also fleeing Texas in droves due to the 'trigger ban' on abortion the state passed, permitless carry, and restrictions put on voting access. These were seen as 'one degree too hot' in comparison to many of the states 'Northern' citizens were accustomed to. Citizens often quoted a fear of 'running into an AR15 toting' citizen in the streets of Houston or Dallas, while Dallas still remains a major hub for Neo-N*** and 'alt-Right' movements.
But, as one person leaves, another takes their place. As 'blue' citizens pull a 'hostile take over' from states that have restrictions on the same, different cultures citizens flock to those same states for refuge. Conservative states boast of increased job opportunities, better pay, and lower taxes, providing a better quality of life than the blue states ever could.
It is clear, then, that Florida and Texas are reaping the benefits of their conservative legislation. Fewer 'liberal' citizens seeking refuge in the blazing southern sun and an influx of 'conservative' citizens seeking refuge in these states. This is leading to an overall happier, healthier population that is free to worship, create, raise children, and thrive with the prosperity that freedom unsurprisingly provides.
