Possible Press Secretary Replacement Confirms It’s Not Her
Alina Habba is pouring cold water on speculation that she could become President Donald Trump’s next White House press secretary, despite prediction markets recently putting her at the front of the pack.
Habba addressed the reports directly Wednesday evening in a post on X, saying she is not pursuing the position being vacated by Karoline Leavitt.
“Flattered by the Kalshi odds, but I’m not in the running for any job,” Habba wrote.
She did not stop there.
Flattered by the Kalshi odds, but I’m not in the running for any job. However, if I’m getting a new one, I’d love for one of these anonymous sources to let me know first.
Fake news remains the undefeated champ…well…until I come at them 😉

Habba also took aim at reports citing anonymous sources who have suggested that she is under consideration for the prominent White House role.
“However, if I’m getting a new one, I’d love for one of these anonymous sources to let me know first,” she added.
Habba finished with another shot at the media coverage.
“Fake news remains the undefeated champ… well… until I come at them.”
Her denial came one day after prediction market Kalshi placed Habba’s chances of becoming Trump’s next press secretary at 52 percent.

Kalshi publicized the shift Tuesday as Habba moved to the top of its market. Just two days earlier, the market had put her probability at 18 percent.
That rapid movement reflected growing speculation about who might take over one of the most visible jobs in the Trump administration following Leavitt’s announcement that she will leave at the end of August.
Prediction markets, however, reflect traders’ expectations and do not establish that a candidate has been offered a position or is actually being considered by the White House. Habba’s public statement now directly disputes the idea that she is in the running.
BREAKING: A clear top 3 contenders have emerged to fill Karoline Leavitt’s vacancy

A White House source previously told the New York Post that Trump had not selected Leavitt’s replacement. No timetable for making that decision had been announced.
The Post reported that sources inside and close to the administration said multiple names were being discussed. Habba emerged in that coverage as one of the potential contenders.
Her history with Trump made the speculation easy to understand.
Habba previously served as Trump’s personal attorney and later as acting U.S. attorney for New Jersey. Her work has put her in front of cameras repeatedly, giving her a national profile well before her name surfaced in connection with the press secretary opening.
But Habba’s Wednesday statement leaves little ambiguity about her own position: Whatever prediction-market traders or anonymous sources may believe, she says she is not seeking another job.
