Trump Admin Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt Holds First Briefing
Well, well, well—what a difference an election makes. If today’s White House press briefing proved anything, it’s that the era of incompetence and soft-pedaling in the briefing room is over. Gone are the days of Karine Jean-Pierre fumbling through prepared notes, dodging simple questions, and mumbling through talking points like a deer in the headlights. In her place, we now have Karoline Leavitt, who not only comes prepared but has no problem dismantling the leftist media’s nonsense in real time.
And wouldn’t you know it? The mainstream press still doesn’t understand the concept of illegal immigration.
If you tuned in today, you’d think NBC’s Peter Alexander and his pals had just discovered that Trump actually won the election. They still can’t seem to grasp that he is, once again, the president—and that means the era of open borders and pretend enforcement is over. The question of the day? Mass deportations. The media was practically begging Leavitt to say that only criminal aliens—meaning those who have committed crimes in addition to entering illegally—would be removed. She shut that down fast.
Let’s clear this up for the slow learners in the press corps: anyone who enters this country illegally has broken federal law. That makes them criminals. Period. This administration isn’t going to play word games about “civil” versus “criminal” offenses. Illegal entry is a crime. The mass deportations will continue. The military flights ferrying illegal aliens out of this country will continue. And as for this ridiculous leftist notion that “some” illegal immigration is good? That’s dead on arrival. Trump was elected to secure the border, and that means everyone who came here illegally—yes, even the so-called "non-violent" ones—is getting deported.
SHUT DOWN! Reporter attempts to place egg price blame on Trump, but Karoline Leavitt fires back:
“When Joe Biden was in the Oval Office or upstairs sleeping.. I'm not so sure.. egg prices increased 65 percent.”

And guess what? We don’t need Democrats’ help to do it. Every federal law enforcement agency has deportation powers. States are already lining up to deputize their own law enforcement officers under DHS supervision, giving them the authority to arrest and remove illegal aliens directly. If blue-state attorneys general don’t want to cooperate? Fine. It won’t stop the process. ICE will still do its job. If federal agents have to set up outside of schools, hospitals, and churches? So be it. The law is the law.
Another moment of clarity came when the press tried to pin rising grocery prices—particularly eggs—on Trump’s administration, which has been in power for, oh, about a week. This is the same media that spent four years making excuses for Biden’s inflation disaster and pretending that Americans struggling at the grocery store was some sort of statistical illusion.
Leavitt wasn’t having it. Yes, energy policies play a role in food prices, and Trump will be fixing those soon enough. But let’s not forget what actually happened under Biden: his administration ordered the mass slaughter of over 100 million chickens, all in the name of stopping an avian flu outbreak that conveniently wiped out egg production and drove prices sky-high. Biden’s answer to every problem was either to ignore it or make it worse. The American people aren’t going to forget that anytime soon.
One of the more bizarre moments of the briefing came when Leavitt revealed that the FAA had actually authorized those mysterious drones spotted over New Jersey. The Biden administration spent years treating issues like this with secrecy and deception, keeping Americans in the dark whenever something strange happened. So, while it’s refreshing to see the Trump administration being transparent, let’s be honest—there’s more to this story. What were the drones doing? Who requested their deployment? Why New Jersey? This is far from over, and it’s only a matter of time before we learn just how deep this rabbit hole goes.
