Trump Gives Rally In Wildwood, New Jersey
Former President Donald Trump held a rally in Wildwood, New Jersey on Saturday, May 16, and called on President Joe Biden and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to “return” donations from “antisemites” backing the protests on college campuses. Trump made this call to action amidst the ongoing anti-Israel protests occurring on college campuses across the country. He asserted that these protestors were being funded by well-known individuals and organizations that have donated to Biden and the DNC.
Trump urged Biden and the DNC to return the donations of all antisemites, America-haters, and financiers of chaos who have funded the ongoing chaos on college campuses. The former President cited research conducted by the NGO Monitor and other organizations which found that donors funding the protests and encampments were well-known names found on donor lists for Biden and the DNC. Among the organizations mentioned were George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, The Tides Center, and the Westchester Peace Action Committee Foundation.

Trump also highlighted the fact that these organizations had raised a substantial amount of money for these protests. In response, Trump promised that if he were to be re-elected as President, his administration would not allow colleges to be taken over by violent radicals. He further added that any foreign students trying to bring jihadism, anti-Americanism, or anti-Semitism to college campuses would be immediately deported. This statement was met with enthusiastic cheers from the rally attendees.

At the rally, Trump also voiced his support for Israel’s actions in eradicating Hamas terrorists from the Gaza Strip. This came in response to President Biden’s statement during a CNN interview where he stated that he would withhold weapons and artillery from Israel if they moved to invade Rafah, Hamas’ last stronghold. Trump showed his disagreement with this stance and reaffirmed his support for Israel.
The former President directed his attention towards the ongoing protests on college campuses, stating that they have become a breeding ground for radical ideologies. He further accused these protests of being anti-Semitic and stated that they were being fueled by the funding provided by these particular organizations and individuals. Trump expressed his concern over the lack of response from the Department of Justice in investigating the civil rights abuses and anti-Semitic attacks against Jewish students and others on campuses.

Trump’s call to action comes at a time when tensions between Israel and Palestine are at an all-time high. Violence erupted in the region following an airstrike by Israel on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the death of several civilians and Hamas members. This led to protests in various parts of the world, including on college campuses in the United States. The protests have sparked a debate over the ongoing conflict and have brought attention to the issue of anti-Semitism in American society.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration has not yet responded to Trump’s call to action. However, the Department of Justice has also not launched an investigation into the civil rights abuses and anti-Semitic attacks on college campuses. This has raised concerns among some groups, who feel that the administration is not taking enough action to address the issue. In contrast, some others believe that it is best for the Biden administration to remain neutral in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
