Watch: Bill Maher Slams The New Age Libs
It’s clear that Bill Maher has had enough of the Left’s obsession with identity politics and wokeism. On Tuesday night’s CNN Primetime, Maher drew a line between liberalism and wokeness and called out the Left’s refusal to consider alternative ideas.
“Woke, which started out as a good thing, alert to injustice, who could be against that, but it became sort of an eye roll because they love diversity except of ideas,” Maher said. He went on to say that wokeism was not building on liberalism, but “very often undoing it.” He used the example of Abraham Lincoln, whose name and statues “they” are taking down, to illustrate how wokeness has gone too far.

This kind of behavior has done nothing but further divide our country and damage our political discourse.
The Left needs to be reminded that free speech is essential to a healthy democracy and that shuttering voices they don’t agree with only harms our society. We need to come together and have open and honest conversations, no matter how uncomfortable. As the famous phrase goes, the only way forward is through.
The left has become e this extreme faction and the driving force behind division in this country. With any luck, that silent majority of liberal moderates out there will step up and take their party back. That is, if it's not too late for them already...
