Congresswoman Responds To Trump Decision Following Strikes
Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) criticized President Donald Trump on Sunday, accusing him of bypassing congressional authority when he ordered a series of airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
Speaking during a livestream on Instagram, Crockett said the administration should have “holla’d” at Congress before launching the strikes, and she expressed total opposition to the operation.
“There is nothing that they will say that will make me believe that this action needed to take place,” Crockett declared. “And it needed to take place without the consultation of the Congress? Absolutely not.”
The strikes, carried out Saturday by U.S. B-2 stealth bombers, targeted three of Iran’s top nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. President Trump described the attack as “very successful,” citing intelligence that those facilities were actively involved in the regime’s pursuit of nuclear weapons. Military officials later confirmed the targets suffered significant damage.
JUST IN: Rep. Jasmine Crockett is fuming that President Trump didn’t “holla” at her to ask for her permission to strike Iran.

Despite the apparent success and the absence of U.S. casualties in the conflict that followed, Crockett remained firm in her opposition. “The systems have broken down,” she told viewers, referring to the current balance of powers in Washington. “Because people have legitimately decided that they would rather serve him than serve the people that put them into office.”
Crockett went on to accuse Trump of routinely violating the law, saying, “Everything that he does is like, against the law. Like he just breaks the law.” She claimed her objections were rooted not in party politics but in legal understanding.
“I’m not saying these things because I’m a Democrat,” she said. “I’m a Black woman in America who just happens to be educated enough to know what the law is.”
The comments come as Trump announced a brokered ceasefire between Iran and Israel on Monday evening, saying the conflict would be “considered ended” after both nations completed final military operations. The ceasefire followed Iran’s retaliatory missile strike on Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which was evacuated after a prior warning from Tehran. No casualties were reported.
