Heaton Posts Video On 9/11
On the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, actress Patricia Heaton reflected on the enduring threat posed by radical Islamist groups, drawing a direct connection between the terror inflicted on America in 2001 and the ongoing conflict faced by Israel today.
Heaton, known for her role on "Everybody Loves Raymond," shared her personal experience of being in New York City on September 11, 2001, and expressed dismay that similar acts of terror are now being directed at Israel.
In a post shared on X, Heaton, a devout Catholic, described the harrowing memories of that day, saying, “It was a terrifying experience. It’s hard to believe now that Israel is experiencing the same horrors. It needs to end.”
In her message, Heaton articulated a firm stance against Hamas, the Islamist group responsible for the October 7 attacks on Israel. She warned against the naivety of those calling for Israel to lay down its arms, emphasizing that supporting a ceasefire without addressing the root cause—the continued aggression by Hamas—is counterproductive.

In a video accompanying her post, Heaton made her case clear: the threat Hamas poses isn’t limited to Israel. She argued that their violence and extremist ideology target Western democracy as a whole, and anyone not aligned with radical Islamism. Heaton condemned those who criticize Israel’s self-defense, saying they are unwittingly supporting terrorists.
Her impassioned message underscored the ongoing reality of terrorism in the world today. Heaton reminded viewers that it was Hamas who broke the ceasefire on October 7, murdered Israelis, took hostages—including children—and put Palestinians in harm’s way. She placed the blame squarely on Hamas for the violence, stating that Israel has no choice but to defend itself until the terrorists are eliminated.
Heaton’s words resonated with those remembering 9/11 and reflecting on the continued global struggle against terrorism. She closed her message with a heartfelt prayer for those lost in the 9/11 attacks, the families still searching for their loved ones in Gaza, and for the safety of Israel.
It was a sobering reminder that the fight against radical extremism remains as urgent today as it was over two decades ago.
