Kamala Harris Claims GOP Is Cheating Ahead of 2026 Midterms
Former Vice President Kamala Harris made a bold claim on Thursday. She told her audience that Republicans are cheating in the upcoming elections. This happened during an interview on Megan Rapinoe's podcast. The show is called "What Are You Like?" Harris said she is focused on one thing right now. "Midterms, midterms, midterms, full-time occupying my thoughts, my mind and my work," Harris said. She believes the other side is trying to block voters.
According to reports, she described the situation as madness. She wants to stop it by helping Democrats win back Congress. Harris said the opposition is redrawing lines. She claims they make it hard for people to vote. She stated that the people's power is what scares them. Her goal is to restore balance in the government. She wants to win back the House and the Senate. She told Rapinoe she is working full-time to help. "We have to win these midterms," she said. She believes these folks are cheating to stop people from casting a ballot. When asked about running in 2028, she had a clear answer. "From my perspective, '28 doesn't matter if we don't win '26." That is her main focus right now.
She also spoke to Peter Alexander last week. She said she supports Democrats who do not want her on the trail. They just need to do whatever it takes. "Listen, Peter, we need to win, OK? Bottom line, we need to win," she said. She has run for office before and knows what it takes. Not everyone agrees with her view. The RedState outlet notes that she calls basic rules cheating. She targets things like the SAVE America Act.
This act would require people to prove they are citizens. It ensures voters are who they say they are. Harris calls this an attempt to stop people. The RNC pushed back hard on her comments. Ally Triolo, the election integrity director, spoke to Fox News Digital. She said common sense rules are not cheating.
"If Kamala Harris is upset Republicans are going after the illegals and fraudsters trying to vote, it makes you wonder if she's taking crazy pills again," Triolo said. She called voter ID and proof of citizenship common sense. She said Democrats cannot win without cheating the system. Harris also talked about her past as an athlete. She said she went through a historic time in women's sports. She wants to move the needle again.
"I don't know how to live and not serve," she told Rapinoe. She said she has come to terms with her need to help. Harris said she wants to stop the madness. She believes the current administration is lawless. She wants to deliver what Americans need and deserve.
She listed lower costs and affordable healthcare. She also mentioned affordable childcare. These are the things she wants to fix.
"I'm spending full-time working on doing everything I can to help people restore some balance in our government," she said. The former vice president is ready to hit the trail.
