Stiller In New Video To Appeal To Men
Kamala Harris' campaign is pulling out all the stops in its latest bid to connect with male voters, particularly fathers, by recruiting actor Ben Stiller, talk show host Andy Cohen, and her own husband, Doug Emhoff, for a new social media video. The strategy? Appeal to dads with daughters by framing abortion rights as a family issue that goes beyond just women’s rights.
The video features Emhoff, who presents himself as a relatable family man while linking the subject of abortion to broader family values. His message is clear: men, particularly fathers, should be active participants in the conversation about reproductive rights.
At one point, Emhoff's daughter, fashion model Ella Emhoff, also makes an appearance, with a direct appeal to fathers: “To all the dads out there, I would say: this is the time to really show support for your daughters.”

Meanwhile, Andy Cohen, known for his Bravo shows like The Real Housewives, adds his voice by sharing a personal note about his own two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, claiming she’s already “smarter than all the guys in the room.”
He then ties his support for Harris to his aspirations for his daughter’s future, saying, “My vote for Kamala is an investment in my daughter’s future.” Ben Stiller, for his part, talks about how his 22-year-old daughter identifies as a feminist, reinforcing the campaign’s messaging on gender equality and women’s rights.
But it’s Doug Emhoff’s line that is perhaps the most striking. He frames the abortion issue as one for “men and families,” turning the conversation into one that directly involves fathers and their responsibilities. It’s an unusual but calculated move, attempting to broaden Harris’ appeal by speaking to men who may not have previously seen themselves as central to this particular debate.
What’s especially intriguing here is that Emhoff’s own complicated history—something the campaign would undoubtedly prefer to keep in the background—may cast a shadow over his appeal as the ideal family man. As Breitbart News pointed out, Emhoff has publicly admitted to having an affair with the nanny during his first marriage, a situation that reportedly led to the nanny’s pregnancy.
While the details remain unclear regarding whether the pregnancy ended in abortion or adoption, it’s a history that doesn’t exactly align smoothly with the campaign’s message of family responsibility.
