Lanza Comments On Biden Announcement
It’s pandering of the worst kind, and it probably won’t work. President Joe Biden has issued an executive order regarding immigration that aims to shut down the border if illegal alien contacts reach 2,500 at ports of entry.
However, this measure seems largely symbolic and ineffective, especially since a majority of Hispanic voters favor the mass deportation of illegal aliens. To make matters worse, Biden is pushing to extend amnesty to illegal immigrants married to American citizens who have lived in the country for the past ten years. This move could shield around 500,000 illegal aliens from deportation.
Bryan Lanza, a former Trump official, labeled this move as a “Hail Mary” attempt on CNN, suggesting that Biden hopes it will stop the hemorrhaging of Hispanic voters. Democratic strategist James Carville has already conceded that the party has lost Hispanic men. This underscores a growing realization: Democrats mistakenly believe they still have a solid political advantage with this voter bloc, but that’s no longer the case.

When leaders screw up, voters, including Hispanics, will choose the other candidate—whether that’s Trump or someone else. Hispanic voters are a diverse group with varied perspectives. For instance, Tejanos in Texas often consider themselves white and do not conform to the Democratic Party's expectations of how Latino communities should vote.
Like most Americans, their primary concern is the economy, and Biden’s failure to address rising inflation is a major frustration. How will helping American citizens keep their illegal alien spouses improve their economic situation? It won’t.
Nicholas Kristof wrote an op-ed in The New York Times criticizing liberals for prioritizing ideological purity over effective governance, particularly on the West Coast. There, political theater is rampant, but policy results are scant. This critique is relevant to Biden’s amnesty push, a policy that Hispanic voters have historically disapproved of.
Alejandro Mayorkas announces Biden's new amnesty program will begin 'at the end of summer' right before the election:
"We intend to open the process up for applications before the end of Summer. We are moving very rapidly because of the Humanitarian objective of this program."

The 'keep the illegal alien spouses' plan is set to begin at the end of summer, and its timing is pathetically transparent. It seems to be a desperate attempt to regain favor with a key voter demographic that is increasingly slipping away from the Democratic Party. However, this policy is unlikely to address the real concerns of Hispanic voters or sway their votes in Biden’s favor.
